Dean's Message

I welcome you to International Islamic University's Graduate School of Management – the largest management school in the country.

Our focus is on preparing men and women for leadership roles in the fast changing, integrated world of international business as well as for the crucial public sector. We are also keen to encourage enquiry and research in public and private enterprise sectors.

Incomes have been growing in most countries at rates which were beyond the wildest dreams of people 150 years ago; entrepreneurship and innovation are the bases of this phenomenon. Entrepreneurial thought and action are essential elements of our programs: students are encouraged and trained to develop and implement new ideas through real life projects. Our system of values - truth, diligence, tolerance and humility – is designed to establish a culture of merit in a community of outstanding scholars and teachers dedicated to quality, innovation and challenge. Our faculty and students are doing research and writing professional papers in increasingly large numbers. Our faculty and senior students are attending conferences around the world; such conferences are useful for networking and keeping our members informed about the latest developments in management education. We are keen to increase interaction with educators and researchers of South Asia and have become members of AMDISA – Association of Management Development Institutions of South Asia.

A significant feature of the university of which we are a part is its international character. The university students come from over 50 countries. We would like to increase the national and religious diversity of our school. The opportunity to work with people from different backgrounds is more important today than ever before. Our graduates possess the core skills and competences required to cope with the complexities of a rapidly changing and complex world. We are excited at the opportunity and challenges for business and business education in this vast, integrated world.

We are implementing our policy of improving the quality of the students' intake which is an essential element in building a great school; we also aim at increasing our faculty strength and quality by bringing in additional distinguished and motivated faculty with a mix of backgrounds of excellence in education, research and business.
